I know it sounds crazy to say, “Everything you know about weight loss is wrong!” but it’s not far from the truth. “Low fat,” “Low calorie,” “Sugar free,” and other fad diets and labels are convincing us that foods filled with chemicals and preservatives are better for us than natural, nourishing foods that our fuel and energize our bodies. 

Think about it. 

How many diets say “Fruit is bad!” or “Carbs are making you fat!” and push chemical-laden protein bars and meal-replacement shakes instead? 

How is a sugar-packed protein bar or a shake made with artificial sweeteners better for you than a cup of fresh, ripe blueberries or a sensible serving of basmati or brown rice served with a lean protein and veggies? 

THAT is what sounds crazy.

It’s the processed “diet” foods and convenience foods that are keeping you feeling heavy, tired, and sick! Because they are void of any nutritional benefits, eating processed foods and junk don’t satisfy you in any real way. You’re hungry again just a short time later, and to make it worse, the sugar and salt triggers a chemical reaction in your brain to crave more, so the more you eat, the more you want!

Ever sit down with ice cream and don’t stop until the spoon hits cardboard? It’s because sugar is so highly addictive, our brains just need more and more to feel satisfied!

Food - REAL food - is not what’s holding you back from health and weight loss. Real foods - whole grains, lean proteins, fresh produce - nourish and fuel your body while keeping you full and satisfied. 

The enemy isn’t food, the real enemy is sugar and processed “non-food.” And by embracing the food your body needs, you’ll defeat the real enemy for good!
